Vista is seeking a talented, hardworking Art Director to join our Global Creative Team to bring to life the brand and merchandising strategies globally. You play on the leading edge of design trends and best practices, and you are a strong collaborator who views every project as an opportunity to learn, grow and add something to the team.

You love to lead and motivate creative merchandisers with the vision to elevate the brand within the merchandising and category zones. You will be driving the creative for visual merchandising success, and coaching your team on key areas, including brand alignment, photography, and tooling, needed to achieve the best customer experience.

You love to build digital, images, ideas, concepts, stories - whatever is necessary. You are inventive, welcoming challenges, seeking solutions, and removing barriers. You possess the ability to turn feedback into effective design. You know how to get great things done even when time or budget are in short supply. You have a DIY spirit. You believe in collaboration and are comfortable with healthy debate and building enthusiasm for your ideas. You are fully engaged in brainstorms and are comfortable ideating independently as well. You have opinions and an original point of view and appreciate feedback and can focus on the greater goals of the project, team, and business. You have a genuine respect for small/micro businesses and are excited to be a part of a company that supports and empowers them to put their brands out into the world.

What You Will Do:

  • Art direction and setting the standard of creative excellence for our apparel and promotional products
  • Team management of 3 direct reports
  • Work effectively to manage workload and deliverables
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the CX design system and site functionality
  • Partner with our photography team to deliver customer relevant images
  • Ideation and design of site content and assets
  • Lead innovative creative concepts to better meet customer needs, testing where appropriate to confirm and refine approach
  • Drive excellence in quality, design, typography and brand consistency
  • Work closely with Copywriters to ensure visuals and copy work together
  • Execute on various production and post-production tasks with great attention to detail – and working with production teams to deliver
  • Close collaboration and co-creation with cross functional global teams
  • Willing and able to take creative direction and execute on feedback
  • Customer obsession

Your Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of relevant design experience with a strong focus on site merchandising. (Strong preference for those with an apparel background)
  • Language: proficient English
  • Strong conceptual skills and clear understanding of messaging and brand adherence
  • Ability to interpret user test results and the general use of data to support creative decisions
  • Can effectively delegate and give constructive feedback, persuade/influence team members, sell ideas effectively and get measurable results
  • Team player with communication and presentation skills
  • A stunning portfolio of recent and current projects
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and FIGMA

Nice to Have:

  • Project and team leadership abilities
  • Current in web standards, design trends, current affairs, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques specifically for driving customer engagement on-line
  • Great teammate with communication and presentation skills
