The Assessing Support Manager leads a team of Building Coordinators and Consumer Assessing Specialists within the DREC Assessing & Major Loss claims team who provide technical and assessing support services to the Disaster Response & Event Claims team.

The role is also accountable for developing and implementing technical advice in addition to providing support for project management as required.

All key learning will also be captured and shared across the business. Through their interactions and support for Assessors, Building Coordinators and Consumer Assessing Specialists in Events, the Assessing Support Manager will deliver brilliant service, providing customers with peace of mind during the claims process.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide people and technical leadership to the team
  • Promote national consistency and industry best practice across Assessors, Building Coordinators and Consumer Assessing Specialists
  • Streamline assessing processes to reduce active claim life, including design and implementation of process improvements following appropriate governance
  • Deliver professional and brilliant service when interacting with internal and external Assessors and stakeholders in line with Suncorp’s excellence standards and principles
  • Provide technical support and expertise to identify customer resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations
