What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Lead the health and safety department of the glass distribution business and the glass assembly company together with an external prevention service;
  • Improve awareness and commitment to safety for remote teams;
  • Asses any new activity, project or modifications from an EHS point of view, and manage related actions;
  • Report and investigate accidents: use of investigation tools, root cause analysis and help in identifying corrective actions;
  • Support in the definition and drafting of work procedures from the point of view of safety;
  • Organize EH&S trainings as needed to support continuous EH&S improvement. Coaching session for middle managers - improving safety knowledge within the management team;
  • Program and execute legal compliance program for EHS;
  • Manage coordination of business activities - management of external contractors, and coordination of own personnel in external works (construction). Evaluation and supervision of activities;
  • Lead safety awareness programs to help identify and change unsafe behaviors and conditions;
  • Participate in the internal audit program - and safety observations;
  • Interact appropriately with government agencies and with the company’s legal resources;
  • Control and implement new legal requirements related to Health and Safety that are applicable to the activity.
The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements
  • Superior Technician in Labour Risk Prevention;
  • Previous experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position;
  • Fluent in English. French is a plus;
  • Good communications skills to engage with people at all levels of the business;
  • Autonomous and proactive person;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Availability to travel (France, Spain and Portugal).
