Job Description

A position as an Flight Dynamics and Flight Control Laws Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join Engineering department.

Tasks & Accountabilities

Competences are required in the aerodynamic, flight dynamics, flight control laws design and handling qualities assessment fields to support the following activities:

• Produce flight mechanics models, vehicle simulation and tools for handling qualities, control laws design to answer programs needs during the full product life cycle
• Control surfaces sizing activities.
• Support to flight control system architecture development
• Design of flight control law
• Handling Qualities Assessment
• Flight Test definition for fight dynamics models validation
• Flight Test definition for flight control laws design and handling qualities certification
  
  

Required Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in Engineering, ideally as Avionics Architectures Engineer
• Required competences and skills will be applied to support different programs is a flexible way in accordance with program requirements (i.e. legacy programs as EF2000 or Automatic AAR or new programs as SIRTAP or FCAS)
• English and Spanish must be negotiation level, written and spoken.
