Group Finance IT Controller - Multinational Chemical Industry

We are looking for an experienced Finance IT Controller to join a Multinational Global IT/Finance team in Barcelona. In this role you will act as a financial Business Partner for the Global IT/Finance leadership team focusing on Strategic Initiatives and Projects such as; deployment of finance optimization projects, providing accurate forecasts and budgets, keep track of actual cost development and perform analysis to derive actionable recommendations for the Management level

• Interact with your counterparts (Group Controlling colleagues, IT team leads, service/cost center owners, project managers etc.) on a regular basis and provide transparency on actual and projected cost development
• Play a major role in finance optimization projects for the group
• Work closely with Project Portfolio Manager to ensure that portfolio information is up to date and in line with latest financials
• Review investment proposals and provide your assessment from a commercial perspective to the decision and approval process
• Support the invoice control, cost recognition process, month-end and year-end closing process
• Perform in-depth analyses and propose clear, actionable recommendations, with the aim of cost efficiency and transparency, particularly with respect to strategic initiatives and projects
• Create and lead initiatives focused for continuous improvement of controlling processes
• Present and explain IT Financial Performance reports to the top management
• Become part of the Group IT and Group Finance Controlling team
