Job Description Summary The GE Offshore Wind Services department is looking for a highly motivated and independent person to fit the apprenticeship position of Master Data Management. This person is responsible for the maintenance of the item data in the ERP (Oracle) so that all necessary information is available to enable smooth purchasing, logistics movements, and warehousing activity, ensuring the availability of spare parts for the turbines on the GE Offshore Wind sites.Job Description

EssentialResponsibilities

  • Support defining the process and gathering of item data necessary for logistics movements of the spare parts: material weights, dimensions, country of origin, etc. Needed for logistics movements (picking lists, delivery notes, manifests)
  • Close interaction with planning team to maintain and upload planning related data
  • Close interaction with sourcing and fulfillment team to assign materials to the correct commodity
  • Responsible for setting up item relationships between items which are obsolete, superseded, etc. together with the parts planning department for the purpose of phasing out parts correctly.
  • Requesting material Tariff code required for customs purposes for our offshore sites in EU, US, China
  • Following and streamlining item activation process for new materials so that the material is available for purchasing, liaise with planning team for proactive item activation on critical parts
  • Database maintenance: identifying duplicate parts, adding manufacturer related information of the parts, etc.

Qualifications /Requirements

  • Studies in Supply Chain Management/Engineering
  • Highly skilled in Excel, knowledge of Macro functionality appreciated
  • Previous experience in ERP appreciated: Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Fluent in English, other languages will be considered as a plus
  • Please, take into account that an internship agreement (in Spanish called "convenio”) must be established between the company-university-student.
  • Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
