Company Description

280 Carbon is a company located in Mumbai that works to develop sustainable technologies for restoring Earth’s climate and environment to pre-industrial levels. Our current project involves capturing, utilizing, and storing CO2 to produce practical materials that can trap the CO2 for extended periods of time.

Role Description

This is a hybrid role for a Senior Chemical Engineer who is interested in being our advisor as a consultant as and when required. The Senior Chemical Engineer will be responsible for assisting our research team while conducting laboratory tests and experiments, analysing data, and helping in developing processes to improve production efficiencies of our CCUS system. This role requires the ability to work independently and critically analyse chemical engineering processes as well as coordinate with a diverse set of teams and individuals across the project in India and abroad. Remote work is acceptable, but the role may require to visit potential customers at their manufacturing plants.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical and Laboratory Experience
• Experience working within the Chemical Industry and R&D projects
• Effective Communication Skills for coordinating with various teams and individuals
• Process Engineering knowledge and experience in process automation and control systems
• Flexibility and adaptability for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Experience working with Carbon Capture and Storage technologies is a plus
• Experience with sustainability technologies is a plus
• Experience with polymer synthesis R&D is a plus
