Software Engineer – Claims Technology

A passionate Software Engineer is needed to join a high performing development team in Claims Technology within T&T. Your role will provide systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support for Suncorp’s Claims management applications. You will be an active contributor to the Agile software development lifecycle and be familiar with DevOps/Continuous Integration and production deployment processes.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyse system requirements and develop technical design
  • Develop and maintains application software
  • Support the application software by analysing and fixing problems as required
  • Perform unit and integration testing on developed code
  • Produce thorough and effective unit and system test plans and participate and/or support further testing phases
  • Participate in and support the rollout of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical advice to the business customers on business opportunities
  • Mentor other team members by reviewing their output and quality
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience supporting high availability production systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile SDLC on projects
  • Proven Testing skills and ATDD or Behavioural Driven Development
  • Intermediate level of skill and experience in the following technologies:
    • Java, GScript, JIRA, Confluence, Haml, Source control systems, Continuous integration tools
  • Experience working in an agile development/delivery environment
  • Experience with DevOps processes and Cloud services (AWS)
